So many business owners are not progressing because instead of acting and implementing they are waiting for things to be perfect. Perfectionism is a great way to limit your future and potential and, eventually, will kill your business. I see entrepreneurs waiting until something is "perfect" before they move forward as a crutch. It is how they justify not putting what they have to offer out into the world. This week I want you to really examine your motives and I hope to encourage you to move past perfectionism. We don't have time to waste. Let's get it done!

This morning I want to encourage you with a word about your most important work, your first mission field, your biggest accomplishment—your kids and family! The world tells us to put ourselves first and focus on what we want, but God says that order matters and that we are to put first things first. It should be God, family, and then business. Take a few minutes to listen to this episode and then pray about what you are putting first in your daily life.

As I look at my exercise journey over the last 20 years, I have found some really big connections to my business progress. I can see how when I am disciplined in areas of my life like exercise, I am more disciplined in my business. There is definitely truth to the saying—how you do anything is how you do everything! I also know that because God has called me to do big, scary things physically like compete in a triathlon, I can now do big, scary things in my business like have my own conference! I hope you are encouraged and excited about the possibilities for your health and business as you listen to this week’s episode!

This week I want to encourage you to really think about what you are asking God to do in your life and business AND if you are open to letting Him do it. I love the Prayer of Jabez and have prayed it for many years. In the prayer, we ask for God to "enlarge our territory." However, as entrepreneurs who are used to getting to decide what we want to do and when we do it, we need to realize that God is still the boss of us. He gets to decide when and how to enlarge our territory, and He is the one who we should be following because He is our BOSS!!!
Take a few minutes to listen to this episode. I went of script on this one because I God put it on my heart and that usually means some of you really need to hear this!
Last year I gave you 8 reasons why I really don’t like free Facebook groups. BUT a few months ago, I listened to the advice of others and gave one a try when we I launched my Creators’ Roadmap course. Now I am back to report how it went and if I have changed my mind. Spoiler alert: Not really! I did get lots of insight and am excited to share what I learned about when to have a group, what to expect, and some tips you can use if you start one!

In this Monday Fire episode, I want to talk with you about James 3:10, "Out of the same month comes blessing and cursing and that ought not be." You shouldn't curse the very thing that you hope will be a blessing in your business, i.e. Facebook, IG, Pinterest...hello algorithm! Listen to this short episode to hear what you should so instead!
I have talked about this before, but because of some recent changes in a health and wellness direct sales company, I wanted to talk about it again. MLMs can be amazing for your business, BUT I always still want you to be in control! Here is a quick bonus episode about some things to make sure you are doing if direct sales is part of your business plan.
Business failure is not always a fun topic, but there is sooooo much to learn when we have a business idea that doesn't work out. I have been there and I know that God uses failures to teach us, to motivate us, and to shift us. So if you have had a business idea fail, first know that you did not fail, the idea failed. Separate yourself from the failure. Then pick yourself up and get back to it. I hope this episode is exactly want some of you need to hear today!
If you are thinking about hosting a conference or any kind of live event or even if this is a far-in-the-future goal, settle in and get ready to take some notes! In the time since I hosted my first conference just a few weeks ago, I have done a lot of reflecting and processing. In doing so, I came up with 5 things everyone should know before launching an event. My hope is that knowing these 5 things will help you in your planning and execution so even your very first event can be a huge success!

Friends, I need to publicly apologize BIG TIME! Over the years I have encouraged my creative entrepreneurs to "charge what they are worth" and I just didn't know what I was really saying at the time. I have several issues with the statement "charging what you're worth" and want to clarify what I truly meant to say to creatives. I didn't mean to discourage you. I didn't intend for you to jack up your rates. I didn't you want losing sales. So let's talk about what I really meant!

As a creative you're not supposed to do the same thing over and over. You need the freedom to change your mind and try new things. HOWEVER, in the early stages of your creative business, this can totally limit your success or even ability to START. You should NOT be the Jack of Trades, Master of None. You have to get known for ONE THING and do it really, really, really well. I work with thousands of entrepreneurs who struggle with this dual-mindedness and lack of focus and direction. In this quick episode, let's talk about this misconception: why you may do and offer EVERYTHING to your clients, how it limits you, and why you need to change so you can really make a difference in your checkbook and in the marketplace.

I keep seeing all of these memes and quotes on social media encouraging and ordering business owners to just "Hustle" or "Work Hard" and ONLY THEN they will achieve all of their goals and biz dreams. But this just isn't true. There was a period in my life when I was working too hard and I was working too long. I had to re-prioritize EVERYTHING and I want to share this secret with you.

In the card catalog of people and personalities, we all want to know where we fit in, what group we belong in and how we can label ourselves. I have struggled with this awareness that I never "fit in." I've always felt that I didn't belong in JUST ONE group of people and I know some of my listeners and followers feel this way too. I really wanted to share and encourage you with my personal journey with always feeling different and my "a-ha" moment when I listened to God's calling.

Why is it sometimes so hard for creatives to be organized? What makes sense for us can be totally chaotic and #HOTMESS status to others. In light of last week’s episode about the Enneagram Test, I am speaking with organization guru Laurie Palau about getting organized in life and business. She sheds light on our personality and why we choose to focus on certain things and how to avoid clutter pitfalls. We talk about the different types of clutter and what some of your roadblocks may be. This is eye opening stuff especially for moms who are just trying to get their kid to pick up their room!!!
