This week is a big dose of encouragement. You may have this idea of how you want to meet with God. Maybe it involves coffee, a fire, a beautiful view—a totally Instragramable moment. And if you can't achieve that then you feel discouraged or don't even try. God just wants a relationship with you! And that will look different in the various seasons of your life. Find ways to give God what you can. Give Him something to work with so He can teach you and mold you and use you!
Friends, think of all the things we teach our kids—sports, school subjects, driving, dancing, acting, and on and on. Often times we pay good money for others to teach our kids all kinds of skills. Today I want to make sure we are teaching the next generation how to have courage and be obedient and the best way to do it to lead by example! Our children and generations to come will be transformed if they can start their lives knowing the importance of being courageous and how to be obedient. So let's model this for all children in our path!
There are so many numbers being shared all over the internet by entrepreneurs. Today I want to talk about the truth behind a lot of the numbers you hear and what numbers really matter. People talk about how many followers they have or how much they just made on a launch. But they don't tell you the truth like the fact that maybe they have horrible reach and engagement or that their expenses where ridiculous so they only kept 25% of launch income. Using big numbers in a vanity matrix truly does nothing for your business or your followers and potential clients. Let's talk more about the numbers we should be concerned with!
If you are waiting for the perfect time, the perfect situation, the perfect anything, it is never going to happen! I love you enough to tell you this. What you are really doing waiting because you are scared. And the thing you are holding on to instead putting out into the world is likely something that someone else needs. And by you holding on to it you are preventing them from being able to move forward. Listen in as I break this down!
Fostering, adopting, or taking in a kid in need is hard and rewarding and a blessing and sanctifying and so much more. It brings so many emotions and situations that you have to learn to navigate. Rebekah Lyons and Edie Wadsworth are two amazing women who have been navigating life with a bonus kid and are rocking it! The 3 of us have all added a young child to our families in the last year and talking to them for this episode was like a therapy session for me! Their stories are beautiful and their perspective and advice are inspiring. Listen in as we talk with vulnerability and share our stories. My prayer is that this episode encourages all who listen!

Sweet Ari has been with us for one year! What started out as a sleepover has turned into a life-changing event for our whole family. On this week's podcast, Mr. Magic and I sat down to share how we have navigated taking in a child that comes from hard places. We talk about what we have learned, what we wish we knew, and what the future holds. Please share this episode with anyone who has fostered or adopted or taken in a bonus kid or maybe just considered doing one of these things. It has for sure not been an easy road for us, but it has been so worth it!!!
